The Story of Indonesian Coffee

Have you ever drink single origin coffee from Indonesia? if you have not, we advice you to try it soon. Though it seems provocative, actually we just want to share knowledge about Indonesian coffee. You need to know that coffee from Indonesia belongs to the best coffee in the world. The trophic climate and countours of the mountainious land in this country are suitable to plant coffee. The climate and mountainous land creates high quality coffee, and has different feature of each region. Surprisingly, the coffee flavour on each regions are diferent and that makes it favored by coffee lovers around the world.


It can be said that our coffee has been liked by coffee lovers in the world, we should be proud of it. There are rare products from Indonesia which successfully conquere the world, forgive me if I tend to exaggerate since I'm very passionate about our coffee :). Indonesian Arabica coffee which become excellent in the world market such as Aceh Gayo, Mandheling, Sidikalang, Lintong, Preanger, Java, Toraja, Bali Kintamani, Flores, and Papua.

Coffee in Indonesia is historically brought by Dutch Colonial. They starts to plant coffee by compulsory cultivation system. Coffee from Yamen which is first planted, exactly is in the west of Java near Jakarta. After successfully planted west then coffee spreads to the east of Java. Coffee which will be a legendary coffee from Indonesia, western calls it as Java refer from the origin of coffee, Java island. Java coffee is very famous in america, a coffee is excellent in the world because of the flavor and aroma. Even the name Java is not only used for coffee from Java, but also to show a coffee which delicious and ellegant.

After successfully plant coffee in Java island, Dutch Colonial keep on planting coffee to Sumatra, Sulawesi, Bali, until Papua. At that time coffee becomes profitable commodity and high valued in World market. Coffee which is planted in Sumatra by Dutch Colonial, now becomes of the best in the world, such as Aceh Gayo, Mandheling, Sidikalang, and Lintong. We will easily, find  coffee in some countries which have good coffee drinking habits. Our coffee becomes expensive and ellegant after being processed by coffee business people in those countries.

Coffee from Toraja, Bali Kintamani, Flores Bajawa, and Papua also have a place in the heart of coffee lovers in the world. We already know, our coffee spreads worldwide and becomes people's way of life. Indonesian coffee represents exotic, expensive, and ellegant coffee. In this modern era, coffee is a part of nations' culture in some countries. Coffee is complex, not only as a black baverage but also a culture representation. How do you think?
